Welcome to the Hunger Games

Have you ever felt stomach pains?

Your stomach starts to growl, then you realize “mmm I’m hungry”. Have you ever not eaten for a day and your body goes into starvation mode when your stomach cramps up, you mouth becomes dry and everything around you starts to get blurry just a little because you haven’t feed your body.

Imagine this…

In the same way you feel when you have not fed your body is the same way your inner man feels when you have not fed your spirit. You need more of God but you continue to go throughout life without feeding your spirit. A newborn baby can’t go without being fed, what makes you any different? In 1 Peter 2:2 it says “like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation..” This goes for us as Christians. How can we continue to say that we love Christ and that we live for him but never eat. We don’t get our proper nutrients, this word is our bread and butter, this word is our everything. You can go without eating but you can’t go without the word of God. This is why in Matthew 4:4 when Jesus was being tempted by the enemy to eat after fasting for 40 days and 40 nights Jesus was very hungry after fasting. He let the devil know “Man shall not live off of bread alone but the word God”. Meaning the word of God will fill you up, you will no longer starve spiritually if you feed your spirit man. You are in the fight of your life to keep your spirit man ready and armed for battle because we fight a spiritual war not physical.

Never forget who you are up against the enemy is playing for keeps. He is looking for any opportunity to get you out of the will of God will you be ready? 1 Peter 5:8 tells us to “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour”

How do I feed my spirit man?

Fast, pray, & seek God daily by reading his word.

“Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And delight yourself in abundance. Isaiah 55:2
“I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread also which I will give for the life of the world is My flesh.” John 6:51

God is the real plug…connect to him and you’ll never go hungry again

I pray you were blessed love you ūüėė
