God will answer his people Luke 18 bible study

You want to know how to get an answer from God about your situation? It’s simple.. Be consistent

Luke 18 ERV: Then Jesus taught the followers that they should always pray and never lose hope. He used this story to teach them

“Once there was a judge in a town. He did not care about God. He also did not care what people thought about him. 3 In that same town there was a woman whose husband had died. She came many times to this judge and said, ‘There is a man who is doing bad things to me. Give me my rights!’ 4 But the judge did not want to help the woman. After a long time, the judge thought to himself, ‘I don’t care about God. And I don’t care about what people think. 5 But this woman is bothering me. If I give her what she wants, then she will leave me alone. But if I don’t give her what she wants, she will bother me until I am sick.”

6 The Lord said, “Listen, there is meaning in what the bad judge said. 7 God’s people shout to him night and day, and he will always give them what is right. He will not be slow to answer them. 8 I tell you, God will help his people quickly. But when the Son of Man comes again, will he find people on earth who believe in him?”

My brief synopsis on the scripture is by the woman being consistent, never giving up hope,as well as believing  is what got her what she asked for in the end. How can we say we need something from the lord when we don’t even go to God and ask him? “You have not because you asked not” James 4:3. We sit around and think just by crying and telling God one time about our situation that that’s going to get us what we want. When it is ultimately up to us in the end.

How bad do you want it? Where is your faith? Do you believe you can have what you asked?

These are questions you need to ask yourself before crying over your situation if you want something bad enough you will do what you have to do to change that situation. If that means being uncomfortable and asking God everyday for what you want you must do that? If that means giving up things to hear the lord more clearly you must do that. If that means going deeper in the word in order to seek God’s face in reference toward your situation you must do that! Do what ever you have to do to get more from the lord make sure he knows your face as well as your voice. Seek him, delight yourself in the lord and go to him consistently about yourself he will have to answer you because you are now doing what is expected of you to receive your expected end.
